It is with a sense of tremendous pride, joy and satisfaction that I bring this inaugural message to you the students pioneer students of the Media Technology Institute (MTI). The realization of a dream is seldom fulfilled within one's lifetime and the establishment of MTI is one of those rear occasions when one has been enabled to live a dream.

A great deal of planning has gone into the development of the programmes of study that you will undertake here to ensure that they are of the highest standard while at the same time they are relevant in an ever changing media and technology environment.

Caribbean region are in need of graduates who are highly competent and (who) possess a extensive breadth of knowledge in the related areas - a combination that is not offered elsewhere in the region at this level. MTI intends to fill the void by producing graduates who like thos from the parent institution, the Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC) will be the employee of choice - sought after and preferred and managers who excell.

I therefore extend a very warm welcome to you to the Institute and assure you that your time spent with us will be both challenging and rewarding.
